rogues review | july: summer surprise news

Here we are on the last day of July.

What a summer we've had here, the sunshine and warmth was unreal, it makes such a difference from our usual water-logged July.
The evenings do seem to be getting a little darker a little earlier now but we have to make the most of the summer we have left!

You might have noticed I didn't post a June review. This was intentional, not a sign of my usual forgetfulness or laziness, but my biggest news wasn't ready for release then.
But something we have had growing in secret came to fruition earlier this month; we are moving.

This isn't just a move to a few streets away, we are upping sticks across the water to Liverpool!

Caelan has got a new job with his work and we've made the decision to relocate and give our lives a bit of a refresh and restart.
While Caelan is moving to start his new role in September, I am holding the fort here for a few months, sorting out our house etc and will be following in the new year.
Daunting but exciting, challenging but rewarding, any move is a change and as usually resistant to change as I am, I'm really looking forward to this new chapter in our lives.

I spent a couple of days exploring around Liverpool city centre in June while Caelan was doing some training. While it was all new (I'd never visited before), it felt familiar. I'm taking this as a sign that I will settle well into these different surroundings. It will hopefully be a chance to explore a new career; I returned to retail about 3 years ago but I'd love to be involved in content and marketing again.

So that's all my exciting news for this month. Looking forward to August; catching up with friends at Belfast Pride, squeezing in another quick trip to Liverpool and at the end of the month, we go on our German rail trip, taking in 5 cities in 11 days.

How's your summer been so far?
