A Tale of Three Cities: Street Style
10:18:00While I took plenty of the usual tourist pictures during my vacation, I couldn't resist having a go at playing The Sartorialist and attempt to capture some of the naturally stylish citizens of San Francisco, Chicago and New York. Check out a selection of my snaps below.

The west coast men seemingly wear much more vibrant and bold colour than their east coast compatriots. There is a natural relaxed atmosphere in San Francisco (I think it has something to do with the abundance of "herbal relaxants") and this is shown in their nonchalant approach to style.

The men in Chicago appeared much more professional than either of their coastal brethren. This does not translate as businesswear, just a more formal approach to their natural style.

New York is a city of opposites and this is reflected in the varying styles of its residents. The stereotypical Polo prep, the sportwear clad urbanite and the eclectic bohemian are all represented. If you're not confident, New York will swallow you up, so many choose to make a true statement.
The pictures were taken on a combination of my phone (HTC One M8), Caelan's phone (Sony Xperia Z1) and Caelan's Nikon digital camera. Some are a litter blurrier than I'd like but trying to surreptitiously grab a few candid snaps is harder than we'd anticipated - I don't know how Messers Schulman and Tommy Ton do it!
